Bathtime

As I mentioned in the last post, the girls helped Casey wash our cars on Saturday. We had planned on giving the girls baths this weekend anyhow, but they totally splashed in the pool and chased the hose and everything. They were already wet and having a good time, so we decided to just tackle the baths right then and there.

They did SO GREAT. I was impressed. The best thing about puppy baths is that it makes them so sleepy. All they want to do is cuddle with you and snuggle up and sleep.

Boone was first so I wrapped her up and took her inside to love on her. She was shivering so badly.

Then Casey brought Brooks in to join us. Here are the girls post-bath and post-water-frolic. 

And an hour later still snuggling with mom. Baths are exhausting.

And how can you help but fall fast asleep after a bath. Sweet little angels. LOVE these pictures.

Happy Mother's Day!! (part 2)

My girls and Casey got me a couple things for Mother's Day. It was the most precious thing ever.

 Here's the card up close. "Mommy". Casey said the girls asked him to write it for them. But they told him what to say. Probably cause they haven't learned to write yet.

Then I got a gossip mag. YES! What an appropriate headline for Mother's Day.

And then my beautiful tulips. Casey said the girls told him exactly what color to get. And that they bought them with the money he gave them for helping with the chores around the house. They helped him wash our cars on Saturday, they helped me clean the house on Friday, and helped me cook dinner on Thursday!

I love my Casey. I love my girls. I think mom's of puppies totally count when it comes to Mother's Day. They're moms too.

Happy Mother's Day!! (part 1)

These are the gifts we (me, Kate, and Case) got all the mommas in our lives.

They are birds nest necklaces so that they will always have their little baby birds close to their hearts. It reminds them of teaching their little birdies to fly. I love these. I love the idea.

Yay Mother's Day!!!

We made Mother's Day breakfast for mom since we'd be at Casey's house for his mom that evening. We brought her S-Bux Ho Cho (her fav) and made french toast with berries and bacon.

Boone:

It was only out an tiny bit for about 10 seconds.
Brooks has yet to do this.
It's funny cause it was pretty standard sleeping for Pumpkin and Patch.

Every day with them and every new thing is precious. For serious.

Helpers

We did laundry and dishes yesterday and all kinds of chores. So thankful for little helpers who are so eager to be involved in the house duties!

When I saw this (below) I immediately thought that 14 pounds plus 17 pounds probably wouldn't bode so well for the dishwasher door, but I ran for the camera before taking them off and drying their little paws. Natch.

Then when I turned around Boone was back up there. Hahaha. Of course, I had to take another picture before I got her off. They just love water. They'll drink it out of the cracks in the sidewalk outside, out of their baby pool, and that means they had to get in the dishwasher and drink the clean water out of it too.

So I get Boone down and wipe her paws off again, and as soon as I put the towel back and turn around again, this is what I find:

Such funny little ladies. Boone is QUICK with her climbing. Brooks runs super fast. I call her rocket. Boone climbs like a tree frog though!

Disclaimer: I don't know anything about tree frogs...but they probably climb fast right? They live in trees and what not...or maybe I should say she climbs like a squirrel. They scamper up trees like its their job.

Boats and Water

I really like boats. I like cruising. I like speed boats. I like sail boats. I like deep sea fishing boats. I love water.

Casey loves all the same things. Woah!

I think it's appropriate then that I bought the shirt below.

a) We both are nautical people (deduced based on the aforementioned).
b) We both are crazy in love.

How adorable is this shirt?! What a steal, right? On sale for a whopping $2.91. I think it was meant for me because it was the very last one.

(it's WAY cuter on than just laying all bag-like there)

Get it? The rope is a boat rope and it's in the shape of a heart. And then it says in pink script:

“my heart is in knots over you”
